Bio

Miles is a freshman at The New School in NYC where he is studying film. As a 2022 graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School, he participated in a four year repertory theatre program where he directed, scripted and acted in multiple performances. His original adaptation of The Great Gatsby debuted in January 2022. His short film, Where the Wild Things Are, won the award for Best Children’s Production in 2021. Miles has attended both the NY Film Academy and SOCAPA summer programs for filmmaking and screenwriting respectively. He was first chair string bass (Symphonic Orchestra at Shawnee Mission East) and also plays guitar, piano and enjoys composing original music. He attended the Harvard Digital Media Academy Summer Camp in 2018 to focus on digital music production using Ableton and continues to evolve his skills using rekordbox for live performance in addition to producing and composing digital music. Live performance, particularly up close magic, has been a life-long interest. Miles has attended the prestigious Tannen’s Magic Camp at Bryn Mawr College (five summers) and has had the unique privilege of learning from some of the world’s greatest magicians including David Blaine, Teller and David Copperfield. Miles intends to write and direct feature films.
